Our Story & Philosophy
Za’atar Mama was founded by my mother and me with a simple purpose: to introduce Sri Lanka to uniquely crafted, authentic Jordanian za’atar.
For my mother, za’atar and olive oil are not just ingredients — they are essentials at both breakfast and dinner.
Since her childhood, she has cherished the tradition of enjoying za’atar, and that story continues to this very day.
Inspired by her lifelong connection to this beloved blend, she envisioned bringing genuine za’atar spice mix to Sri Lanka — rooted in our family heritage from the Levant, the birthplace of za’atar.
